The data set of the Priority Programme for China's Agenda 21 was provided by the Administrative Center for China's Agenda 21 (ACCA21). The ACCA21 was set up in March 1993 under the State Planning Commission of China and the State Science and Technology Commission of China. The functions of the ACCA21 are (1) to participate in formulating and implementing China's Agenda 21 and to take charge of its daily management; (2) to organize the formulation and to coordinate the implementation of the priority programmes for China's Agenda 21; (3) to provide consultation services for the government agencies, non-governmental organizations and the general public on sustainable development; (4) to participate in the international network for sustainable development; and (5) to carry out personnel training, international exchange and related activities.
