United States-Mexico Data Collection
(US-MEX): Boundary Data
The Boundary Data portion of the United States-Mexico Data Collection (US-MEX) consists of 1990 boundary data in a GIS-compatible data format (ArcView) for the United States and Mexico. The boundaries are created at three levels: county/municipio, state, and region. The regional boundaries are constructed by combining states and dissolving internal boundaries while the county/municipio and state boundaries are current as of 1990. This portion of US-MEX is produced by the Columbia University Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN), with the aid of data contributed by the U.S. Census Bureau (USCB) and Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM).
