Abstract CHGIS China 222 BCE to 1911 CE Prefecture Capitals (UTF) is a point theme representing a time series of prefecture capitals in China for the period 222 BCE to 1911 CE. Attribute information includes years for which the capital is valid. This dataset employs UTF Encoding for Chinese Characters.
Purpose Developed by Fudan University, Center for Historical Geography, for the CHGIS project.
