MiniCAM Model Run Scenarios
Documentation for six MiniCAM (Mini Climate Change Assessment Model) scenarios is available in the Edmonds, Wise, and MacCracken (1994) paper Advanced Energy Technologies and Climate Change: An Analysis Using the Global Change Assessment Model (GCAM). These scenarios include:
- Reference Case -- based on the IS92a scenario of greenhouse gas emissions developed by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
- Advanced Energy Technology Cases -- five scenarios based on
- advanced fossil fuel technologies,
- advanced liquefied hydrogen fuel cells,
- advanced hydrogen fuel cells,
- low cost biomass, and
- accelerated rate of exogenous end-use energy intensity improvement.
