Poverty & Food Security (PFS)
The challenge of reducing global poverty and hunger is underscored by the large number of individuals that are living in poverty (approximately one billion) and with hunger (approximately 820 million). Complicating this challenge, are the potential impacts of climate change on the food supplies and incomes of the poor, particularly in locations vulnerable to drought and famine. The PFS Mission Area is dedicated to providing researchers, policy-makers, and development practitioners with the global and national-scale data they need to address these critical challenges.
