Data sources Pop by sex 1995 for Kreise from: http://www.brandenburg.de/statreg/daten_02/d02a01.htm Pop for a second year were only available for some Laender (states) -- various years '87 - '97 obtained from state statistical yearbooks and the web sites of the state statistical offices. For the others (Niedersachsen, Hessen, Schleswig-Holstein, Saarland, Baden-Wuertemberg and the city states), state level growth rates were used. Some Kreise in the state of Sachsen changed in 1995. These boundary changes were not considered in the SABE data yet.
