Looking for LandScan?

The LandScan Global Population Project, developed by Oak Ridge National Laboratory, is a world wide population database at 30"x30" resolution for estimating ambient populations at risk. Census counts are distributed to cells based on probability coefficients which, in turn, are based on road proximity, slope, land cover, and nighttime lights. In the near future, we anticipate disseminating the LandScan database, as well as comparisons between the LandScan database and GPW, from this site. In the meantime, for further information, visit the LandScan website.
