Groupe de Demographie Africaine (1986), Population size in African countries, IDP-INEP- INSEE-MICOOP-ORSTOM, Paris GIS database produced by the Universitä Louvain, Belgium and obtained from the Department of Geography, University of Maryland. This database also includes population figures for 1958, 70 and 84. These data had to be reconciled since boundary changes occurred between the enumerations. All available sources and maps were used for this purpose.
