With this tool, you can view up to 4 SEDAC map layers, either as four separately synched maps or as overlays in a single map. Here's a list of what some of the buttons do.

• Chose either a boundary, terrain, satellite or roads layer as your base map.
• View 4 map layers as four separately synchronized maps
• View 4 map layers as overlays inside a single map
• Layer Switcher: Browse from a selection of hundreds of SEDAC map layers grouped into collections and themes using the custom layer switcher tool.
• Expand to see more functions
  • Turn map synchronization on or off
    (This tool is only available in the top left map - Map1 )
  • Set all four maps to a single layer
    (This tool is only available in the top left map - Map1 )
  • Get Legend
  • Grab sample SEDAC map services access code for each map layer in your map
• Clicking on this button places the visibility of a layer on top of the all other active layers
• Hides and shows layer info while still keeping the layer active.
