Data sourcesBoundaries from CIESIN (http://sedac.ciesin.org) . Pop figures available from the same source. Pop figures for a number of islands with large populations were treated as separate admin units. The island population was subtracted from the total municipio level pop in those cases. P90E and P95E were estimated using state level growth rates using information available from the National Statistical Office web site at ADMINID is the 3 digit country code, the 2 digit state code and the 4 digit municipio code. This is because several states have more than 100 (up to 540!) 2nd level units. |
